CB Mark Fields Profile

Visit No. 1 was for four-star CB Mark Fields was for the season opener against Georgia. His second trip was earlier this month for the Florida State game.

Fields recently spoke to CUTigers about the second stop in Tigertown.

"My trip was real cool… We got there and I got to talk with some of the coaches. I got to talk with coach [Dabo] Swinney a little bit, coach [Mike] Reed, and that was about it. We just chilled and went and watched the game."

Swinney brought Fields and several other 2015 prospects, including five-star offensive tackle, into his office for a few minutes.

"He brought a couple of the 2015 guys in there and told us that we're the top guys that they want for 2015 and things like that," Fields said.

How was the 1-on-1 conversation with Reed?

"Me and coach Reed have a real cool relationship. We just talked about Clemson football in general. Things that he would like to do if I went there. What they were going to do against Florida State, just stuff like that."

The No. 17 ranked cornerback in the country really enjoyed the experience.

"For me, it gets better and better every time I go. More and more hype…it was crazy. It was more than the Georgia game, more people. It was crazy. Being down there to see that again, it was pretty cool -- all the fans, it was packed 30 minutes before the game. That was pretty cool."

In addition to the Clemson trips, he's been to South Carolina. Fields hopes to visit Alabama, South Carolina and Clemson again, before the season is over.

Two of Fields' Hough teammates were also on the visit -- Corey Bell, a 2015 cornerback and Jarrett Cole, a 2016 defensive back.
