Massive instate OT visits Clemson

One of the biggest prospects in the class of 2016 lives just right up the road from Charleston. And the two instate schools are already interested.

OT Kevin McCray Profile

Timberland High School sophomore offensive tackle Kevin McCray is listed at 6-foot-8, 320 pounds.

He visited Clemson earlier this season for the Boston College game.

"It was good. My first time in Clemson, it was good," he said. "The game was good. I talked to all of the coaches and all that. It was good."

What stood out?

"How the coaches always like to know you, see where you're from, talk to you and relate to you. The video we saw, that was good -- the one we saw in the pre-game."

McCray was impressed with what he saw around town and on the Clemson campus.

"It's a nice town. I could get used to living there for the next four years of my life. It was nice," he said.

South Carolina recently stopped by his school and he plans to be in Columbia for the Coastal Carolina game.

For now, it's just the two instate powers that are after him. McCray doesn't have a wish list of other schools that he would like to hear from.

"The more the merrier, it doesn't matter to me," he said.
