Florida QB makes first trip to Clemson

Just before the start of the 2013 season, Chad Morris offered this quarterback from Florida. The 2015 prospect has since reciprocated the interest.

QB Deondre Francois Profile

Olympia High School [Orlando, Fla.] junior Deondre Francois made it up to Clemson for the Florida State game.

"It went well. I went with a couple of other players and my family," he told CUTigers in a recent interview.

It was his first trip to Clemson.

"It was good. It was huge. It was one of my first college visits, so it was a big site to see. I really wasn't used to a college campus like that, so it was good," Francois said.

The three-star prospect was impressed by the game day environment in Tigertown.

"I love the atmosphere. I fell in love with the atmosphere, the fans, the student section, when they came down the hill, all of that. I fell in love with all that," Francois said. "I couldn't get too caught up in that, because I've got other colleges that want me, too. So I'm going to take other visits."

Clemson, Louisville, UNC and USF have offered.

"I have a couple of schools that should be offering in a couple of weeks that are showing a lot of interest in me," he said.

Ole Miss, Stanford and Ohio State are among those expressing interest.

In his previous interview with CUTigers, Francois said Louisville was his leader. That's no longer the case.

"I have no one in the lead right now," he said. "When I take more visits, then I'll narrow it down."

In nine games this season, Francois completed 104 of 213 passes for 1,373 yards with 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also rushed for 102 yards.
