Clemson adds 2015 commitment

Just after Clemson secured its 10th win of the 2013 season, Dabo Swinney secured another commitment to the 2015 signing class.

Shadell Bell, a three-star wide receiver from Columbia High School [Decatur, Ga.], pulled the trigger and committed to Clemson over offers from Alabama, Duke Mississippi State, N.C. State, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

"I just had a feeling doing it. I was for sure that's where I wanted to go. That's why I committed," he told CUTigers, shortly after the 52-6 win over The Citadel.

There were a number of factors that led to Bell's decision.

"The offense, the coaches, players, teaching-wise, the academic, I'm still in the southeast," he said.

The No. 41 wide receiver in the class of 2015 arrived to Clemson on Saturday intent on committing.

Bell has known for several weeks that's what he wanted to do.

"I went to the Wake Forest game and I decided a little while after the Wake Forest game," he said. "It was just getting [back] up there to see them."

Dabo Swinney accepted the commitment shortly after talking to the team in the locker room.

"After the game, coach Swinney was talking to all of the players, just telling them the stats, good season and stuff," Bell said. "Afterwards, I walked up to him and he was like, ‘Shadell, how you doing?' I was like, ‘Hey, coach. Can we talk?' We walked into the corner of the locker room and we talked. He was like, ‘I'm ready for you to be a Clemson Tiger.' So I committed." Top Stories
