Clemson recently hosted one of the top defensive end prospects in the class of 2015, four-star Alabama commitment Mekhi Brown.

The Carver High School [Columbus, Ga.] junior was in Tigertown for the Florida State game.

"It was so hype, like the greatest game of the year. Clemson disappointed, I think. That's pretty much how I feel about the game," Brown told CUTigers, at the Georgia Junior Bowl in Atlanta.

Dabo Swinney, Marion Hobby and Mike Reed all spoke with Brown during his visit.

"They send a lot of mail to my house," Brown said.

Still firm with his commitment to Alabama, Brown said he has a "a little bit" of interest in Clemson right now.

"The only schools I [look at] the most are Stanford and Florida State, out of everybody else," he said.

Why those two, in addition to Alabama?

"Basically, style of play, academics, just how they play, and the coaches."

He added, "I plan on visiting Stanford and USC sometime this year, whether they're officials or just during the summer."

Brown filled Inside Carolina in on his top five: Alabama, Florida State, Mississippi State, North Carolina and Stanford.

"Those are showing me the most attention, I feel like," Brown said.
