Thompson is a Tiger

Trevion Thompson took his official visit to Clemson this weekend. Before he left to come home, the four-star Durham (N.C.) Hillside wide receiver committed to the Tigers.

Trevion Thompson committed to Clemson on Sunday.

"It feels great – I feel great," said the 6-foot-3, 188-pound Thompson. "Every time I went down there, it was just a feeling I can't describe.

"I just felt like Clemson was where I needed to be. I like the family atmosphere and everything around there feels like home."

Thompson said the entire visit was great, but he enjoyed one part specifically.

"Hanging around the players and the coaches – that was my favorite part," he said.

Thompson was not planning to make his decision on his trip.

"When I went down there, I didn't have the intention of committing," he said. "But at the end of my visit, we were just talking and I got the feeling that I might well go ahead. The coaches were pumped up."

He is excited about having the opportunity to play for Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney.

"Coach Swinney, he was a receiver himself," Thompson said. "He also coached receivers. He's really enthusiastic, too. We have a great relationship and I'm excited about what he's doing with the program."

Before his trip to Clemson, Thompson took official visits to Ohio State and North Carolina State.

After this weekend, he had planned to take an official to West Virginia next weekend and possibly North Carolina before making his decision. However, that is no longer the case.

"I'm 100 percent committed," he said. "I'm not taking any other official visits. I'm looking forward to running down the hill."
