Clemson will sign Yeargin, a pass-rushing specialist, as a defensive end.

"Yeargin is big and very long with a frame to bulk up and add a ton of weight," notes recruiting analyst Jamie Newberg. "He possesses good short area quickness. This is an outside linebacker that plays with a burst and can locate the ball quickly.

"Yeargin does a nice job of playing in space, showing good feet and balance and the ability to stay with smaller players. He's a good pass rusher."

Yeargin visited Clemson officially in November, just three months after originally pledging to the Fighting Irish. He decommmited from Notre Dame in January before making his official decision earlier today.

Yeargin transferred from Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna to Ft. Lauderdale University School.

A four-star prospect, Yeargin is listed as the No. 17 outside linebacker in the country by

He is the 20th verbal pledge for the Tigers in the 2014 recruiting class.

Yeargin confirmed the news to Wednesday morning, "Yes, I'm proud to be committed to be 100 percent committed to Clemson University. I love it." Top Stories
