Rush taking visits

Anthony Rush had a huge junior season. The Cary (N.C.) defensive tackle spoke with Scout.com about the latest developments in his recruitment.

"I have offers from North Carolina and N.C. State," said Anthony Rush. "Michigan and Clemson are also recruiting me. Ohio State came by my schools recently, too.

Which school could be the next to offer?

"Clemson has mentioned offering," said the 6-foot-4, 280-pound Rush. "They told me they want to see me down at junior day and that they might offer. It's sometime in March I believe."

His most recent visit was to an in-state school.

"I went to junior day a few weeks ago at N.C. State," said the 6-foot-4, 280-pound Rush. "It was pretty cool; a lot of the area's top players were there. It was good to be around all of them.

"I talked to (offensive coordinator) coach (Matt) Canada, coach (Dave) Doeren and basically all the coaches. I had a chance to talk to talk to coach Doeren one-on-one, though, and he told me that they really wanted me and to stay focused."

Next, he will head to North Carolina on Thursday for their basketball game against Duke.

"I'm looking forward to talking to all the coaches again and seeing how they're doing," Rush said.

In regards to other trips, Rush said he will try to get to Michigan sometime in the spring.

Despite the offers and interest, Rush remains open with his recruitment.

"I don't have a leader right now," he said. "I'll probably narrow my list of schools down mid-season of my senior year and make my decision a couple of weeks after the season."
