Texas duo wraps up visit

A pair of teammates from DeSoto, one of the top high school programs in the country, took a three-day visit to Clemson this week.

Kevin Thomas and Kendall Jennings stayed in Central with Kendall's father, former Clemson tight end Keith Jennings.

Thomas, who flew into the area on Monday and flew back to Texas on Thursday morning, is a junior wide receiver with a Clemson offer. Jennings, a junior offensive lineman, is still looking for his first offer.

CUTigers spoke with Thomas on Wednesday night after they attended the baseball team's 2-1 win over Appalachian State.

"I really liked it, especially the facilities and everything," Thomas said, when asked about the Clemson campus. "Everything was real nice."

The three-star wide receiver enjoyed meeting with the Clemson coaching staff.

"They were really happy. They welcomed me and were glad I came down and to see them practice," he said.

That also impressed Thomas, who is ranked by Scout.com as the No. 63 wide receiver in the class of 2015.

"It's real organized and it's very uptempo, like an uptempo practice," Thomas said.

Up next is a trip to Iowa. Thomas thinks they could be next on his offer list, which includes Clemson and Indiana. TCU and Ohio State are also in contact.

As a junior, Thomas had 64 catches for 822 yards and eight touchdowns.
