Texas lineman familiar with Clemson

Every summer and every spring break, Kendall Jennings travels from Texas to spend time with his dad, who lives right outside of Clemson in the town of Central.

His father, former Clemson tight end Keith Jennings, played eight seasons in the NFL.

For this visit, the younger Jennings was joined one of his DeSoto High School teammates, wide receiver Kevin Thomas. They spent time on the Clemson campus Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

"It was a blast. We had a real good time, me, Kevin and my dad. They showed us a lot of love this week," Jennings told CUTigers earlier this week.

The 6-foot, 260-pound junior always enjoys his time in Tigertown.

"I love it. I love the tradition, the people, they're nice people. They really show a lot of love," Jennings said. "They understand everything. They show respect, they're really respectful people. Pretty much everybody is family here.

"And the atmosphere is great. On game day, people get crazy, just how I like it."

Jennings has yet to pick up any offers, but he's still under evaluation by the Clemson staff.

"They're coming back during spring to see how I work. We'll see where it goes from there," he said.

Texas, UNC, Missouri, North Texas and Utah are also in contact. He visited Chapel Hill on Saturday.

"They're mostly looking at me at center, guard, but mainly center," Jennings said.
