CUTigers recently caught up with Cooper, who attends Jonesboro High School.

"[Morris] pretty much told me that he liked my film, the way I'm a dual-threat quarterback, the way I throw, the way I run and make plays," Cooper said.

He added, "It meant a lot, to come from a school like that, that is interested, it shows I'm working."

Cooper is still learning about the Clemson program.

"I really don't know anything, but I just know that it's a great program from watching them on TV," he said.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound prospect also holds offers, Kentucky, Miami, Ole Miss, N.C. State and West Virginia.

"I'm going to Ole Miss in the next week or two. Then I'm going to Kentucky," he said.

Several factors will be considered by Cooper as he moves through the recruiting process.

"Nice program, nice facility, if I have a connection with the coaches there a well," he said.

Splitting reps with a senior last season, Cooper completed 83-of-156 passes for 1,200 yards with six touchdowns. Top Stories
