4-star WR visits Clemson

Deon Cain, the No. 11 ranked wide receiver in the class of 2015, visited Clemson on Saturday. How'd it go? Who'd he see? And what's next in his recruitment?

It was visit No. 1 to Clemson for Cain, who's a junior at Tampa Bay Technical High School in Florida.

"It was a good visit. They told me a lot of things that are up coming. They showed me a lot of things. It was pretty fun up there," he told CUTigers on Sunday, the day after his trip.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound prospect got a full tour of the Clemson campus.

"I saw the stadium. I saw the campus, the academic stuff. I saw most of the coaching staff. I saw just about everything. They were showing me all that stuff and just telling me the history about the school," he said.

Cain spent most of his time with running backs coach Tony Elliott, his recruiter of record, and wide receivers coach Jeff Scott.

"Spending time with them, it was like I was already there. They made me feel like I was already there. They were telling me what was going on with the school," Cain said. "Coach Scott was telling me more about the offense and showing me some factual stuff. He's a pretty cool coach. He's a real cool dude. I learned a lot about him and coach Elliott. They're some real good people."

In addition to the Clemson trip, Cain has visited Miami and Florida this spring. He could take a trip to Georgia later this spring.

With no list of favorites to speak of, Cain hopes to cut his list down around the end of the summer. Cain is looking to take some official visits before reaching a decision.

As a junior, he caught 80 passes for 1,900 yard with 500 yards rushing and 18 total touchdowns.
