Edwards updates recruitment

Conway (S.C.) standout Bryan Edwards is one of the top wide receivers in the 2016 class. He spoke with Scout.com about his recruitment, future and more.

"I have offers from Clemson, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Duke and Florida," said Bryan Edwards. "I'm also getting a lot of mail from Michigan State."

His most recent offer came from an ACC school.

"Duke was the last school to offer," said the 6-foot-3, 205-pound Edwards. "It's a good offer and I'm excited about it.

"They have a nice program over there and they had a great season last year. I haven't been up there yet, but I plan on going to a camp there this summer."

Edwards' most recent visit was to Clemson.

"I went to their junior day in April," he said. "It's always good to get up there and see the coaches. I also got to meet a lot more people this time. And I really enjoyed seeing the campus. Everybody was friendly."

While on campus, he was able to speak to multiple assistant coaches.

"I got to meet the offensive coordinator, coach (Chad) Morris," Edwards said. "I also got to speak with (wide receivers) coach (Jeff) Scott and (tight ends) coach (Danny) Pearman. They told me that they see me in their offense and that they want me there."

Edwards also talked with head coach Dabo Swinney.

"He told me he wanted me to get down there as much as I could and to just enjoy everything," he said.

He has more visits in mind.

"I'm definitely going to South Carolina this spring," Edwards said. "I'm also going to camp at Clemson, Duke and Florida and South Carolina."

Although he has received a lot of attention, Edwards is not naming any favorites.

"I'm keeping my options open," he said.
