DT Tim Settle Profile
After receiving scholarships from across the country, Tim Settle named his top 15 schools.
"My top 15 in order –Tennessee, Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Texas, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Penn State, West Virginia, UCLA, North Carolina, N.C. State, LSU, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma," tweeted the 6-foot-3, 325-pound Settle.
Despite naming a top 15, Settle said he could still visit some schools that were not on the list. He mentioned Arizona, Florida, Miami and Texas A&M as possibilities.
Settle said he knew it was time to make an announcement.
"I had to make a mature decision," he said. "I wanted to make sure I didn't have whole lot of pressure on me.
"I felt like I had procrastinated a little bit, so I decided to come out with the top 15 and those are 15 schools that I felt strongly about. It was a big jump, but I had to do what I had to do."
Why is Tennessee his top school?
"They show the most love," Settle said. "Also, whenever I visited, I just loved it up there. I had great time and it is my favorite visit I've taken so far And I have good relationship with the coaching staff – and it's all about recruiting."
The Stonewall Jackson star will trim his list again toward the end of the summer.
"I'll probably narrow it down again in August," Settle said. "I'll probably cut it to a top five or top seven. Tennessee, Alabama and Clemson will most likely make the list. But all the schools have a legitimate shot right now."
Settle is a five-star prospect, No. 3 defensive tackle in the country and 15th-ranked prospect in the 2015 class.
