Hill names top five

Trevon Hill has a top five and will make his college decision soon. The 2015 Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem defensive end gave Scout.com the latest.

Trevon Hill is getting closer to making his college decision.

"My top five schools are North Carolina, Clemson, Virginia Tech, N.C. State and Wake Forest – in that order," said Trevon Hill.

The Salem standout explained what he likes about each.

North Carolina: "It just feels like home and it's not far from home," said the 6-foot-4, 212-pound Hill. "The campus is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. And all the coaches know me and show me a lot of love. They also make my family and I feel comfortable."

Clemson: "The visit was just amazing. Even though it's kind of far away, it felt like home. The coaches also made me feel like I was one of their own players."

Virginia Tech: "The history there is great. They have had a lot of good defensive ends, too. Plus, I have good relationships with all the coaches – coach (Frank) Beamer, coach (Bryan) Stinespring, coach (Bud) Foster and coach (Cornell) Brown."

N.C. State: "I haven't taken a visit, but I just like N.C. State. Their fans are also great and (assistant) coach (George) Barlow seems like an honest man. I'm visiting next week."

Wake Forest: "Wake Forest is a great school. They're also a program on the rise. I also like the atmosphere and got a good vibe when I was there. It's a quiet place – very business-like. And they showed me the blueprint for the new facilities and I loved them.

Hill will make his announcement on May 27.
