Four-star PG visits Clemson

The Clemson basketball staff hosted four-star point guard Ty Hudson for a visit on Monday.

Hudson, who's a junior at Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Georgia, visited Clemson earlier this year for the Pittsburgh game.

The crowd inside of Littlejohn Coliseum that afternoon impressed the 6-1, 180-pound prospect.

"I liked it. It was crazy. They have a lot of supportive fans. Even though they lost the game, their fans still came out to support them," he told CUTigers on Monday night.

Monday's trip got a good review, too.

"It was good. It was great," Hudson said.

Brad Brownell and the rest of the Tiger coaches rolled out the red carpet for Hudson, who also owns offers from Kansas State, Xavier and UAB.

"They made me feel very welcome. They talked about the reason why they offered me and things like that. They're very friendly," Hudson said.

Clemson offered Hudson earlier this spring.
What's next?

"I'll probably go up to Virginia Tech and then I'll probably get down to Auburn."

While Hudson has no favorites, he does have a timeline for a decision.

"Probably sometime this summer," he said.

Hudson also has a few criteria to consider.

"Somewhere that I can go and play right away, if they have what I want for the academics and how far away they are from home," he said.

In 24 games as a junior, Hudson averaged 17.9 points, 4.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game.
