Another 4-star DT offer goes out

Last week, Clemson defensive backs coach Mike Reed sent out another offer.

DT David Marshall Profile

This one went to four-star defensive tackle David Marshall, a sophomore at Upson-Lee High School in Thomaston, Georgia. Reed gave Marshall the head's up on Monday.

"Coach Reed called me," Marshall said, during a recent conversation with CUTigers.

What did he tell Marshall during that conversation?

"That he wanted me, he said that he wanted me to come to Clemson bad, to play and be in their program."

Lots of folks want Marshall to be a part of their program. Auburn, Louisville, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and UNC have offered.

The offer from Clemson didn't exactly come out of the blue. Reed was by the school several days before offering Marshall.

"I had a lot of contact with them," Marshall said.

Listed at 6-4, 270, Marshall will take his first visit to Clemson during the summer. For now, that's the only trip he has scheduled.

"I want to see the way their program is and how the coaches coach," Marshall said.

As a sophomore, he had 60 tackles.
