A four-star prospect from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, he's also listed as the No. 33 overall player in the country. On Tuesday afternoon, Rochester was in Clemson for a stop by the Dabo Swinney Football Camp.

"It was real nice. I liked how they've got the new facilities going in and how the coaches were treating me, just the whole experience and all the stuff they've got going on," Rochester told CUTigers on Wednesday.

The 6-5, 280-pound defensive tackle was impressed when he learned about the plans for the new football facility.

"What really surprised me was they're getting the whole new facility and all the other things, so I was just like, that's what's up," he said.

Clemson's coaching staff also made a favorable impression.

"They really seem like they really want me," Rochester said. "They showed how much they liked me. All of the coaches came up to me -- every single one of them probably -- just talking to me and all that good stuff."

He added, "They look like they really take pride in their work and really expect the best of the best. They expect full effort and expect great players to great things. That's what I really liked."

Rochester said he might go to Georgia on Friday. Next month, he'll head to Florida State. A few other trips could be sprinkled in along the way.

When asked about a list of favorites, he said, "Clemson, Florida State, Auburn, then Georgia and last LSU."

There is no timeline for a decision.

As a sophomore, Rochester had 144 tackles, 25 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. Top Stories
