Meyers was asleep on the bus when the Manvel coaching staff got word from Chad Morris that Clemson was ready to pull the trigger.

The Manvel crew was in Clemson on Monday after stops at Kentucky and Louisville. They went by Auburn before returning home on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Meyers told CUTigers that his experience at the Clemson camp was a good one.

"I just like the way they do things over there," Meyers said, "How the coaches interact with the players and all that."

What does Morris think of Meyers?

"He was just saying they liked the way I moved and that I would be a good fit for the team," Meyers said.

The interest is mutual.

"I think it would be a good school for me, a good fit. It was crazy, because before the offer, I was talking about Clemson all day, then they just called me," Meyers said. "I like Clemson a lot." Top Stories
