Edwards names a leader

Four-star wide receiver Bryan Edwards had been reluctant when it comes time to name a leader.

In previous interviews with CUTigers, the Conway High School rising junior usually opted to say things were all square between Clemson, South Carolina and his other suitors.

That's no longer the case.

"Clemson would definitely be on top for me now," Edwards said on Sunday.

The No. 32 ranked wide receiver in the class of 2016 camped at Clemson on Friday, went to Georgia's camp on Saturday then returned to Clemson for the final practice on Sunday morning.

"I like the coaching. I get a great feel from that place. I know some people and it's just a great place to be," he said of Clemson.

When asked commitment plans, Edwards wasn't certain about a specific date, but did say, "I'll probably be early."

Clemson wide receivers coach Jeff Scott has played a big factor in making Clemson Edwards' leader.

"It's always fun getting up there and working with coach Scott. I take a lot from his coaching up there. He gives me a lot of things to take back to Conway to work on," Edwards said.

The No. 151 overall ranked prospect in the class of 2016 will wrap up his summer visits in July when he heads to South Carolina for the one-day showcase camp.
