RB C.J. Fuller Profile
The Easley High School graduate told CUTigers on Thursday night that he's fully qualified to enroll at Clemson, but there could be a delay.
"I'm waiting to see when I do," Fuller said.
What's the hold-up?
Fuller could join the greyshirt trio of Jalen Williams, J.D. Davis and Judah Davis, all three of whom were recognized as Clemson signees in February.
According to Fuller, who committed to Clemson in May of 2013, he and the Clemson staff first began talking about the greyshirt option this past December or January.
But nothing has been finalized.
"Just wait and see," he said. "If I don't go [to Clemson] this summer, it will be in January."
If Fuller is not a Clemson student for the fall semester, he'll enroll at Tri-County Tech for a class or two. Taking more than six credit hours will start his five-year clock to play four seasons of college ball.
Rated as a three-star cornerback prospect by Scout.com, Fuller was recruited to play running back at Clemson.
"It will be a setback, but I'm ready to do whatever I have to," he said.
As a senior at Easley, Fuller had 579 yards rushing and led all Easley receivers in receptions with 32 for 227 yards. For his career, he rushed for 3,381 yards and 27 touchdowns.
