Bama backer enjoys Clemson

Walter Pritchett, a rising junior outside linebacker from Phenix City, Alabama, spent some time in Clemson last week.

The 6-foot-2, 207-pound prospect worked out with Brent Venables at the Dabo Swinney Football Camp on Tuesday.

"It was real good. I learned a lot today," Pritchett told CUTigers after his visit. "Coach Venables, he's a really good coach.

"It was a pretty good camp. I got a ton of reps. I've got some new drills that I can take back home."

Pritchett is making the transition from defensive end, where he played last season, to outside linebacker. As a sophomore, he had 49 tackles and 11.5 sacks over 10 games.

Before heading to Clemson, Pritchett camped at Auburn. A few days after the Clemson camp, he went to Georgia's. In July, he'll head to Kentucky, Ohio State and Georgia State.

But his afternoon in Clemson was a memorable one.

"It's top of the line. I just love their stadium. Death Valley, I just love it. It's a real nice community. I like how it's out in the country. It's not city like Atlanta, so it's really nice," Pritchett said. Top Stories
