2016 SS Finley Talks Offers; Camps

Niceville (Fla.) High School class of 2016 strong safety/wide receiver prospect Romeo Finley, 6-foot-1 and 195-pounds, talks about his impressive offer list and summer camps.

Niceville (Fla.) High School class of 2016 wide receiver/strong safety prospect Romeo Finley has already been offered scholarships by some of the top programs in the southeast. The 6-foot-1 and 195-pound underclassman is hearing from some of those schools this summer as well as a couple of programs that he doesn't have offers from yet.

"Summer is going well. I am grinding hard, putting in the work, trying to get that state ring. I have offers from Clemson, Tennessee, Miami (Fla.), Louisville, USF, Southern Miss, South Alabama, Mississippi State and South Carolina," said Finley of his summer and his offers.

While Finley says his recruitment remains wide open, he admitted a couple of his early offers stand out.

"Growing up my favorite school was Miami so that was a big one (offer) but I have been talking to Tennessee a lot and I like them a lot. Miami was the first one to send me stuff (mail), so that was pretty nice and then when the offer came that was pretty nice too. I took a visit to Tennessee in March and it felt like home and it is somewhere I can actually see myself being," said Finley of the Canes and Tigers.

One school that hasn't offered but was impressed with Finley in camp earlier this summer is Auburn.

"I also like Auburn a lot and they have some interest in me too. We just came back from a 7-on-7 camp at Auburn and I did pretty well. They like my skill set, how tall I am and how I can break on the ball, and how I can see the whole field," said Finley of the Tigers.

Finley also made a trip to Clemson recently and said he liked the feel of a small college town and was very impressed with campus and the Tiger's ever expanding football facilities. He also says that North Carolina has been in touch a lot this summer but have yet to offer.
