"I have seven offers – Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, NC State, Pittsburgh and Temple," said Elijah Deveaux. "I'm also hearing from Wake Forest, Clemson and ECU."
Georgia Tech his most recent offer.
"I visited there earlier this month and coach (Paul) Johnson offered me," said the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Deveaux, who is being recruited as a B-back by the Yellow Jackets. "I liked it. It felt awesome to get the offer. Their education is second to none and I have a lot of family in Atlanta.
"The coaches were really cool and the campus was really nice. And the setting is awesome because it kind of blends in with the city and gets you ready for the real world."
While on campus, Deveaux spent the majority of his time with his recruiting coach.
"I spent the most time with (quarterbacks/B-backs) coach (Bryan) Cook," he said. "We sat down in his office and watched film and actually broke down exactly what the B-back's job.
"We have a good relationship. I've been calling him since my freshman year, but that was my first time getting to see him down there, which was awesome."
From Georgia Tech, he went to Clemson for their camp.
"I liked it – it was a very organized camp and it was tough, but I got a lot of work in," Deveaux said. "I also enjoyed talking to the players.
"I talked to a lot of the coaches – coach (Dabo) Swinney, (running backs) coach (Tony) Elliott and (tight ends) coach (Danny) Pearman. They told me that they like me a lot. Hopefully, they'll offer soon."
Next, Deveaux will head to Duke and NC State this weekend.
During his sophomore season, Deveaux carried the ball 217 times for 1,824 yards and 23 touchdowns.
