Take a Look at Frederick Bennett

This intimidating Safety out Manning, South Carolina has all the major powers in the ACC, Big East, and SEC drooling over him. With 4.45 speed, great tackling ability, and a nose for the football, his stock is only going to rise as signing day approaches. You know who he is-- Frederick Bennett.

Frederick Bennett (6-2, 179) out of Manning, SC recorded seven interceptions last season as the starting safety for the Manning Monarchs. He's a great cover guy and has the speed and strength to take on a big fullback out of the backfield or a speedy wideout on fly pattern. He's also got quickness as evident by the 31 catches and 470 yards of offense he produced as a wide receiver last season.

Bennett has offers from Clemson, USC, Auburn, Maryland and Georgia Tech. He is also drawing interest from Penn State. He is planning on making four official visits this season and those include USC, Clemson, Georgia Tech and North Carolina. He is ranked as the 18th best player in the state by SCPrepFootball.com and the #1 defensive back.

Bennett said he does not have a single favorite at this time, although sources close to him have indicated that he could be quietly leaning towards the Tigers. As a stong safety in high school, we very well could see Bennett make the transistion to linebacker in college, he has all the tools: strength, speed, and toughness. All he will need to do is put on a few pounds.

I think there is a great chance of us landing this fine student-athlete and we will continue track his progress for you this season.
