PAINT HIM ORANGE!

Clemson lands four-star wide receiver Ray Ray McCloud in Monday afternoon announcement.

WR Ray Ray McCloud Profile

McCloud announced for Clemson moments ago as the Tigers edged out Florida, UCLA and a host of other schools.

"I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My coaches- youth and high school coaches. I want to thank all the coaches I made relationships throughout the recruiting process," said McCloud. "I officially commit to Clemson."

"I went a tour there my freshmen year and from that point on I just fell in love with the campus. I liked the other campuses as well. It was just something they had spiritually about Clemson. It just felt like it was the best for me."

McCloud's addition gives Clemson two of the top receivers from the state of Florida and in the country. McCloud's friend, Deon Cain, committed to the Tigers a month ago and has seen his stock take off after a strong showing at The Opening in Oregon earlier this month.

"McCloud is one of the most explosive prospects in the entire 2015 class," notes Scout.com recruiting analyst Chad Simmons. "He has super speed and quickness and he has an extra gear and a great burst. He's a home run hitter who can score from anywhere on the field.

"He projects best as a slot wide receiver or even more so at cornerback, where he has terrific coverage skills."

Lisa McCloud, Ray Ray's mother, said about her son's decision, "I'm happy with his choice. We want him to be comfortable wherever he is. The coaches at Clemson - it is a great program."
