Watson leaves game with knee injury

Quarterback Deshaun Watson will not return to No. 18 Clemson's game against No. 24 Georgia Tech after suffering an apparent left knee injury.

Watson, who returned as a starter after missing three games with a broken bone in his right hand, was hurt when making a cut late in the first quarter of Saturday's game. Watson ran for 7 yards and a first down before falling to the ground and grabbing his left knee.

Watson, a freshman, walked off the field and was escorted to the locker room. Clemson says Watson will not return for the second half.

Cole Stoudt replaced Watson and had a pass intercepted on his third play by Jamal Golden and returned 93 yards for a touchdown.
