After securing the services of Vanderbilt's Sheldon Mitchell last month, the Tigers added the verbal commitment of Robert Morris guard Marcquise Reed Monday.
Reed visited Clemson this past weekend and chose the Tigers over Southern California, UMass, Tulsa and others.
The Northeast Conference's rookie of the year this past season, Reedaveraged 15.1 points per game while adding 2.1 assists and 2.5 rebounds. Reed also connected on 49 percent of his shots from the field, including an impressive 41 percent from three-point range.
He also scored 21 points against Brad Brownell's team last December and added 24 against North Carolina and 22 against Duke as well.
Like Mitchell, Reed will have to sit out a season before becoming eligible. He will have three years of eligibility beginning in 2016.
Reed broke the news via his twitter account.
