BC Recruiting Update

CUTigers.com Recruiting Expert Gary McDaniel's update on Clemson commits and prospects who will be at Death Valley for the Boston College game Saturday.

So far, it's a small but solid list of prospects attending Saturday’s contest with Boston College.  The headliner of note is definitely Yetur Matos, the big DE from Fredericksburg, VA. He is taking in his first game at Death Valley.  Matos has been to campus on two other occasions and has built a solid relationship with Coach Brent Venables. I had a good conversation with Yetur's father, and they are planning to hit the road at 3 a.m. Saturday morning in order to have a full day in Tigertown! Also coming down with Yetur from Virginia is his Chancellor High teammate, 2017 DT George Brown .

Another player to keep an eye on is 2019 Grayson High LB recruit Owen Pappoe (potential 5-star), who has garnered over a dozen offers already from a "who’s who" of college football programs.  He will be here with his high school recruiting coordinator and a couple of his teammates from Grayson High School in Lawerencville, GA. You may recall that Wayne Gallman, Ryan Carter and Nick Schuessler are all Grayson alums, so Clemson has a nice little pipeline going to that school.

This is a very fluid list. Look for it to be adjusted for addition(s), as we are still awaiting word on a few potential last-minute visitors.
