This Big Offensive Lineman is Right in Clemson's Back Yard

CUTigers Recruiting Analyst Gary McDaniel caught up with an up-and-coming prospect in Clemson's back yard.

Kavesz Sherard

6’4 290 lbs

Offensive Tackle

2018 Class

Schools showing interest: Penn State, Clemson, Auburn and Georgia

I have been lucky to see the TL Hanna 2015 team on three separate instances as of this writing, and going in, I was told to look for the young talent on that roster. I was pleasantly surprised to see how the Anderson County High School has loaded up on big, athletic kids that are already on Power Five schools' radars.

CUTigers originally made the trip to Anderson County to see two of Kavesz’s teammates: 2018 DE Stephon Wynn, Jr. and 2019 DE Zacch Pickens--two very talented defensive linemen we have reported on before in our Friday Night Lights series. However, the entire night I found my eyes and camera lens captivated with the athleticism and mean streak I saw out of the Yellow Jackets' left tackle. All night long, I saw Sherard finishing his blocks, playing with good footwork and flashing the athleticism over and over.  All night long, Sherard was playing with a very competitive edge in his game.

I caught up with Sherard recently for a brief interview.

CUTigers: How is TL Hanna’s season coming along and the season for you personally?

Kavesz: It's coming along good. Our team has created an amazing bond, and we are all excited for what lies ahead.”

CUTigers:  What coach at Clemson are you having the most interaction with so far in your recruitment?

Kavesz:  “Mostly, I have had contact with Coach Venables.”

CUTigers:  Are you planning on coming to the upcoming game at Clemson between the Tigers and the Seminoles?

Kavesz:  I'm not sure yet. Some friends and I were looking at the possibility of going.”

***Since this interview, I have confirmed that Kavesz WILL be in attendance at Death Valley on Saturday! Top Stories
