Clemson Recruits in Death Valley for the Wake Forest Game

CUTigers Recruiting Analyst Gary McDaniel captured these images of Clemson commits and prospects in Death Valley on Saturday. Enjoy!

The Tigers again had a very large contingent of recruits gathered in Clemson for the final home game versus the Demon Deacons of Wake Forest.

One 2017 commit making the trip for his first ever game day experience at Death Valley was Noah DeHond. The Jersey product was getting the Orange Carpet treatment and seemed to be enjoying himself, interacting with players and coaches.

Several Clemson commits used this opportunity to take in Clemson on their “official visits,” such as Tre Lamar, Nyles Pickney and Sean Pollard. All used the visit as their “official”. One newly committed prospect, Tremayne Anchrum of Powder Springs, GA, also  made a return visit to take in the game.

Another “official visitor” to take note on is Bryan Edwards of Conway HS (Conway,SC). Edwards, a recent de- commit from the Palmetto State’s other big program, had reached out to Clemson weeks ago to express his interest in the Tigers.

A 2019 visitor of note, LB prospect Owen Pappoe of Loganville, GA (Grayson HS), was in attendance for the first time this season. He missed the Notre Dame game when he was supposed to attend with a host of other Grayson prospects. He is a top-ten overall prospect for the 2019 class with over 50 offers. Owen is the definition of a “national prospect.”

Stay Tuned for the Recruiting Radar later in the week, as we get reactions from these prospects and their visits to Clemson. We'll also look at the remaining targets in the 2016 Class and look into the 2017 Class.
