The 6-3, 290 pound defensive force currently has offers from Clemson, North Carolina and South Carolina. Tennessee has started to show significant interest, and they may be a major contender since Bishop's former teammate Eric Young signed with the Vols last February. Virginia and Wake Forest are also showing significant interest and may be the next to offer.

The powerful lineman is beginning to think about making an earlier commitment. "I was thinking I would wait. It depends on how my season goes. If our team doesn't do well I may commit earlier. I have thinking about committing earlier. It may not happen though."

Coach Blackwell is recruiting Bishop for the Tigers, and he continues to send a lot of mail to the prize recruit. "I got a letter from him the other day. He said he hoped I had a great summer. He said he was looking forward to seeing me."

What are his current thoughts concerning Clemson? "It's a pretty good school. I'm interested a lot. It's hard though. I really like three or four schools. I do like the fact that Miami and Virginia Tech are joining the ACC."

Bishop, who had a very impressive 60 tackles including 6 sacks as a junior, is looking forward to his senior season. "I want to try to get better every game. I want to be a leader this year."

Clemson was the only camp that Bishop attended this summer. We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive lineman, right up through signing day 2004.
