Ben Gabbard, an outstanding offensive lineman from Maryland, just returned from a long vacation where he spent plenty of time thinking about where he would like to play college football. CUTigers.com caught up with the talented lineman and we've got the latest on where he stands with his decision.

The 6-5, 305 pound Annapolis star spent the past week vacationing in Florida where he spent a great deal of time discussing his college plans with his parents. "We did talk about it a lot. I still think that I'm going to wait it out. My parents seem to think that's the best thing to do. I'm going to try to take some official visits. I am going to continue to watch the commitments carefully. If Clemson gets another commitment on the offensive line I may have to go ahead and commit."

The Clemson Tigers continue to lead for the Broadneck Senior High lineman. Gabbard recently camped at Georgia Tech, and he is hoping that they will offer along with several others showing interest. "I'd like to see offers from Maryland, North Carolina and Georgia Tech," stated Gabbard.

If those teams were to offer the prize recruit would he that change his leader? "I don't think it would matter," stated Gabbard.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding offensive lineman from Maryland, right up through signing day 2004.
