Grant, Raley, Francoeur, & Anderson Updates

We've compiled some good information on four of the most highly regarded Clemson recruits for 2002. WR Mario Raley, ATH Travis Anderson, SS Jeff Francouer, and WR Kelvin Grant have all been very productive for their respective programs so far this season.

Kelvin Grant
Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Florida are still his leaders, with "no clear cut favorite." Kelvin was in Clemson for the Central Florida game, and then went to the USC/Georgia game last weekend. Sources close to Kelvin still say that there is great chance he'll be wearing a Tiger uniform next year. Kelvin's team, the Camden Bulldogs are now 3-0 after pouding Hartsville 32-7 last weekend. He has 3 touchdown receptions on the year, including one 72-yard score that was called back on a penalty in the opening game.

Mario Raley
Mario has 15 receptions for over 200 yards and 6 touchdowns through only 2 games. Lists his current favorites as Florida State, Clemson, Georgia, and Tennessee. (in no particular order) Good chance he will be at the Clemson/Duke game. He also was in Athens last weekend for USC/Georgia. Raley has a great chance to break several long standing North Carolina High School records this year, and he'll have a great chance to bring over 100 receptions again this season.

Travis Anderson
Travis caught 3 passes for 41 yards this past weekend versus Orangeburg-Wilkinson. Overall, Anderson has 7 receptions for over 110 yards in three games for Byrnes High School (3-0). He has been seeing a lot of double coverage so far this season which has limited his numbers a bit.

Jeff Francouer
Jeff has helped lead Parkview to a 2-0 start and a #1 Class 5-A ranking. Georgia Tech, Clemson, Ole Miss, Florida State, Vanderbilt, Georgia, and Florida are considered to be his favorites right now. Only had time to briefly visit one school (Georgia Tech), after travelling with his baseball team in Cuba this summer. Jeff continues to indicate that a strong baseball and football program at the school he winds up at are the most important factors in his final decision. Top Stories
