The current offer list for the 6-3, 190 pound running back includes Clemson, North Carolina, South Carolina and East Carolina. "My top 2 are still North Carolina and Clemson," stated Ashcraft. Michigan, Colorado and Auburn are showing interest, and Ashcraft stated that they could join the leaders if they offer.

Clemson and North Carolina are recruiting the talented prospect at running back, but both schools have also discussed the possibility of moving him to defense. Coach O'Cain is recruiting the prize recruit for the Tigers. "I'm ready for September 1 to get here so I can talk with the coaches," stated Ashcraft.

The Clemson and North Carolina coaching staffs are working hard to keep the lead with this outstanding recruit. "North Carolina and Clemson are recruiting me the hardest. I get hand written letters from both of them."

Ashcraft plans to take his visits before making a decision. He camped at North Carolina, Clemson and Wake Forest this summer. "I loved the Clemson camp," stated Ashcraft.

So what factors will influence Ashcraft's decision? "I just want a chance to play. I would like early playing time." The prize recruit would like to major in electrical engineering.

Ashcraft is teammates with talented offensive lineman Bryan Rogers who is also very interested in the Tigers. "We would like to play at the same school but we'll have to see," said Ashcraft.

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding prospect from North Carolina, right up through signing day 2004.
