"Auburn, Clemson, Duke, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Middle Tennessee, Cinicinatti, Louisville, East Carolina, and UT-Chattanooga have extended me a scholarship. Right now, my final six are Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida, Clemson, South Carolina, and Tennessee."

His latest camp was just last weekend, and landed him on the plains of Auburn, Alabama. "I did pretty well. I got an offer from Auburn last week."

Mayo is pretty wide open right now, but he has a few things on his mind that will factor into his final decision. His hometown of Dalton, is known as the "Carpet capital of the World." However, it's not a buzzing metropolis or a large place by any stretch of the imagination. Mayo looking for something similar in his college choice.
"I like a small campus. Clemson really stands out to me because of that. I liked the town and the school a lot. I also don't want to be really far from home either."

"I want to pick a place where they like me and treat me well. I would love to be playing by my second year," adds Mayo.
