Clemson Gets NSD Eve Commitment from 4-Star Kansas Safety

Clemson started the National Signing Day momentum early on Tuesday night, thanks to the commitment of 4-star Safety Isaiah Simmons!

The expanse of the Tigers' recruiting net is ever-widening! Safety Isaiah Simmons is the second 4-star defender from the Sunflower State of Kansas to commit to the Clemson 2016 class. Big-time DE Xavier Kelly announced his commitment to Clemson back in July. The addition of Simmons will provide some much-needed depth to the Clemson secondary after the early departure of both starting safeties, Jayron Kearse and T.J. Green, to the NFL. Simmons provides a big frame and body type that Defensive Coordinator Brent Venables and Defensive Backs Coach Mike Reed covet. Clemson won Simmons’s commitment over big ten suitors Michigan and considered long-time favorite Nebraska.
