Clemson Adds 4-Star CB Commitment for 2017 Class

Clemson added another 4-star commitment to its secondary on Monday with the pledge of 2017 CB LeAnthony Williams.

Clemson received another huge commitment on the 2017 recruiting trail today, when 4-star CB LeAnthony Williams, of Roswell, GA, picked Clemson as his destination school in 2017. Williams picked the Tigers over offers from Alabama, Florida, LSU, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Tennessee and a host of others. Williams will be reuniting with his former Roswell teammate, Tre Lamar, who is already on campus at Clemson as an early enrollee and a member of the 2016 signing class.

At 6’0 175 pounds, the Clemson roster just added a great boundary corner with ball skills and the measurables that all defensive back coaches seek and covet.  Brent Venables and Mike Reed are putting together a real good-looking DB class for 2017, as the remaining targets (including Williams's Roswell teammate and current Alabama commit Xavier McKinney) are all blue-chippers .  Stay tuned, as the Tigers reach out for more defensive backs and players out of the state of Georgia.
