As you all know, Saturday was the culmination of spring practice, and in addition to the record 50,500 fans, students and alums, the annual Orange & White Game attracted some of the top recruits on the Tigers' radar. You can see the full list of confirmed visitors we published last week HERE. We have some great photos and feedback from the prospects who were on campus on Saturday, but let's start with the latest offer that was extended by the staff last week.
****New Offer for In-State LB
The Tigers extended an offer at the LB position to 2017 in-state standout and DE/TE star Logan Rudolph out of Northwestern High School in Rock Hill. The recent hire of Rudolph’s former high school coach, Kyle Richardson, by the Clemson staff may have had a little to do with this offer going out. However, it remains to be seen whether Rudolph would be willing to change positions at Clemson. We shall see, as we follow Logan’s recruitment moving forward.
****Last Week’s Radar Blips
We are adding a new feature in which I'll review the past week’s news and place them into the subsequent Radar for a summary of the prior week’s recruiting activities. Here are a few of last week’s “Radar Blips” for you in case you missed it when we released them.

We reached out to several of the visitors about their experience on the Clemson campus and have received the following responses so far:
2017 Clemson QB Commit Hunter Johnson:
"It was awesome to see over 50,000 fans at the spring game. Deshaun and the team looked smooth on the field. Fun to watch. I had a great time hanging with Amari, Chase and Blake as well as some of the other '16 signees. We talk all the time. We were able to do a little recruiting as well. Our class is off to a great start and could be really special."
2017 DB/ATH Jamyest Williams:
“My father and I had a really great talk with Coach Venables and the atmosphere was amazing!”
2017 Clemson QB Commit Chase Brice
"I thought that the game overall was a success. I saw a lot of good things that happened and of course some bad but that's the beauty of a spring game. You see those miscues early and fix it. There seemed to be a lot of good chemistry out there on the field too. And on the recruiting side, we did a great job getting the guys we want. Hopefully we can scoop up some key guys soon."
2018 OL Prospect Will Lawrence:
”The visit went really well. I was able to spend a lot of time Saturday morning with Coach Caldwell looking at film and talking about technique, and I got to know Coach Austin throughout the day. Coach Caldwell has told me I would have a shot to play tackle, which is really important to me. I like the atmosphere a lot. I met most of the current OL's, and they seem like really cool guys. I'm one of only two 2018 OL's Clemson has offered, so that's a big deal. Another highlight was getting to meet Coach Swinney. Clemson is definitely one of top schools and possibly the top school right now. I'm going to think about everything after camp season.”
2017 LB Prospect Drew Singleton:
"The visit was definitely great, and it was a great learning experience. I got a chance to feel the environment and the energy from the fans. Coach Swinney was expressing his love and passion for the program as well as Coach V. They both were explaining how much they wanted me as a player and a person. I hung out with Rashan Smith, Tre Lamar and Dexter Lawerence."
2018 DE Prospect Xavier Thomas:
"It went great! Clemson never fails to impress me more and more every time I go! It's always fun and exciting. I talked to Coach Swinney for about 10 minutes privately in the locker rook after the game, and he told me how I fit perfectly in their system and in their culture, so I had good time. I most likely will be going back up there for a summer camp."
2016 Signee Cade Stewart:
"The spring game was great! I can't wait to get out there with the team! Coach Caldwell told me to be in good shape and stay healthy."
2018 DT Prospect Aeneas Hawkins:
" My visit to Clemson went pretty well. I got down there on Friday and looked around the campus and the stadium. I was also there on Saturday for the Spring Game. What stood out the most was how dedicated Clemson fans are. 50,000 at a spring game is impressive. To see a fan base that cares that much year round shows what kind of program Clemson runs.Clemson was what you'd expect it to be. They have a rich tradition and a championship mentality, and you could see their approach at the spring game. So far I have offers from Florida State, Florida, Kentucky, and Toledo. As of now, I'm receiving heavy interest from Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Ohio State, South Carolina, and Georgia. Depending on my upcoming schedule, I may get back to watch Clemson in a home game."
2017 OL Commit Blake Vinson:
"The game was awesome! I was really surprised with the crowd that came out, and really felt like I was apart of the Clemson Family. It was also great talking with all of the coaches.”
2018 TE Prospect Brenden Bates:
"The campus was absolutely stunning! I loved the facilities, and the weight room was really sweet. What stood out the most was how many people showed up to watch the spring game. I thought that was incredible! I talked to Coach Pearman, the tight ends coach. He said that I had good size and that he wanted me to come down for the camps. I do not have any offers but Cincinnati, Florida State and Toledo are interested in me."
2018 QB Prospect Sam Wyche:
"This was the first time I had visited a college for football and I was amazed at the great facilities they had. It's hard to imagine that they could be building something there that's better than what they already have. As I watched the spring game, I noticed that when Deshaun Watson was in, the whole offense seemed calm and confident. This stood out to me because as a quarterback, this is something I strive for with my own team. As a whole, I thought Clemson was incredible. The campus was beautiful, the facilities were great, and the team looked on point. Clemson is definitely a college I would consider going to, playing football or not. My sister Madeline currently goes to Clemson, so I can't wait to visit again and hopefully learn more about the program as well."
2018 OT Kavesz Sherard:
"Clemson's spring game was a fun, enjoyable, energetic game with some cool highlights. I talked with Coach Caldwell, who said he loved my style and thought I was a great player . He also said that as long as I keep doing the right things I can expect an offer from Clemson in the near future.”
2018 DE Stephon Wynn, Jr.:
"I really enjoyed the visit. I thought it was a great atmosphere for a spring game, and it was a lot of fun."
