Clemson Extends Offer to 5-Star LB

The westward expansion of the Tigers' recruiting continues. Just days after extending an offer to a 4-star Texas TE, Clemson offers a 5-star LB from the Lone Star State.

Clemson has reached out to the Lone Star State again this week and offered one of the nation's more gifted LB prospects out there in Baron Browning. Coach Venables sent the offer out personally to the big-time defender from Kennedale, Texas. CUTigers contacted the Lone Star prospect with the who's-who list of offers for a quick statement on the offer and where the Tigers stand in his recruitment.

CUTigers: Baron, who relayed the offer to you and what coaches are you hearing from at Clemson?

Baron: "Coach Venables reached out."

CUTigers: Now that the offer is out there, what are your thoughts on Clemson?

Baron: "They're a school I'm keeping in consideration."

CUTigers: What stands out so far when it comes to the Tigers and what they bring to the table?

Baron: "They have good academics and they're a defensive school and I like the atmosphere they have there at Clemson."

CUTigers: Are you planning a Clemson visit in the future?

Baron: "I know that's definitely a visit I want to take." Top Stories
