Clemson and Tennessee Lead for 4-Star Linebacker Justin Foster

Scout interviewed Justin Foster at The Opening in Charlotte over the weekend, and Clemson remains one of the schools to beat for the 4-star LB from North Carolina.

Clemson has been the perceived leader for Justin Foster for quite some time. The relationship with his recruiter of record, Coach Dan Brooks, and the rest of the Clemson staff has only been solidified by Foster's numerous visits to campus over the last couple years. Added to that, Justin's sister is already an enrolled Clemson student on campus. Here's a Chad Simmons interview with Foster from The Opening in Charlotte the other day, in which he names Clemson and Tennessee his two leaders.

It has been rumored that Tennessee has come and taken a slight advantage over the Tigers--mainly because of the Clemson staff's interest in playing Foster at DE as well as LB. Tennessee, on the other hand, is recruiting the Shelby star strictly as a linebacker, and in our eyes the Vols have pulled slightly ahead of the Tigers for this reason. Stay tuned, however, as Clemson will be in it to the end for Foster. Never take Dabo Swinney and his staff out of contention, especially with relationships this deep. As always, remember to check the Recruiting Radar Screen forum for the latest updates!
