5-Star OG T.J. Slaton Names Clemson as Leader

T.J. Slaton, Scout's No. 1 offensive guard and sixth-ranked player overall for the class of 2017, currently has one lucky school atop his lengthy list of suitors.

Could an additional suitor gain ground and take over the top spot in Tedarrell Slaton's recruitment? Sure, but as of now, Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers are the front-runners to land Scout's No. 1 offensive guard and sixth-ranked player overall out of the class of 2017.

Slaton, an eye-popping figure out of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage that currently tips the scales at 6-foot-5, 340 pounds, admits that the likes of MichiganFloridaFlorida StateAlabama and Mississippi are currently in the thick of his recruitment as well.

There's not many across the map, if any, that check in and provide the sheer size along the offensive line like Tedarrell Slaton, who simply overwhelms the majority of his opponents at the prep level. Slaton is a powerful, nasty offensive lineman that has the makings of an elite guard prospect down the line.

Slaton talks about why the Tigers are currently on top, his interest in the Wolverines and Gators, thoughts about being the premier offensive guard in the country, and more in the video at the top of the page. Stay tuned here at CUTigers.com and the Recruiting Radar screen, as we continue to monitor Slaton's recruitment!
