Friday night saw several big time players step into the spotlight. Travis Anderson of Byrnes High School in Spartanburg had a career evening as he hauled in 6 passes for over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. We also have more info on Anderson, Mario Raley, Reggie Merriweather, and Troy Williamson.

Here is a quick glance at how some of the top recruits for the Tigers performed this weekend:

Travis Anderson (5'11, 180) caught 6 passes for over 200 yards and 2 touchdowns Friday evening in Byrnes 65-14 win over T.L. Hanna. Even more impressive is the fact that both scores came on passes of over 50 yards. (89 and 64)

North Augusta RB Reggie Merriweather (5'10, 192) rushed for 310 yards and four touchdowns on 31 carries to lead his team to a 33-0 victory over Lower Richland. North Augusta has started the season by winning their first 4 football games. Clemson, Florida, and Notre Dame are all still fighting it out to win his services.

Mario Raley (6'1, 190) had eight catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns in #1 Independence's 35-7 win against #4 Butler. "Clemson is the only school that I know that I'm going to visit for sure right now," Raley says. "I'm also looking at Georgia, FSU, and Tennessee."

Silver Bluff's Troy Williamson (6'0, 200) is also off to a great start. Friday night, Williamson took a reverse 55 yards in for a touchdown to help spark his team to a 41-10 win over Swansea. Williamson also caught a 10-yard touchdown and had had a 70-yard punt return for a score that was eventually called back for an illegal block.
