CB Tristan Davis
5-10, 186, 4.5
Tri-Cities High School
East Point, Georgia
Tri-Cities (GA) cornerback Tristan Davis is not one to turn down any school, but three currently stand above the rest on his list.
"I don't want to turn anybody down, but my favorites are Virginia, Florida, and Tennessee as of right now," says the 5-foot-10, 186 pounder.
"I have ten schools that offered, but Virginia is the only one of my favorites that has offered. I also have Clemson and Maryland up there, but Clemson has not been sending as much mail lately."
Does that, by default, place the Cavaliers as the top school on his list?
"I do not have a number one, but Virginia impressed me by Coach Groh coming down to visit with me for an hour and then flew right back. It shows how important I am to them.
"I went to the Florida camp and liked their coaching staff a lot. They were more than coaches down there, they were good friends and you could really see that.
"I grew up liking Tennessee, and they also have my cousin Jabari Davis playing for them."
Davis would like to wait until after the season to decide on committing.
"I do want to wait, but I am starting to set up some visits. I am going to Tennessee the 31st for an unofficial visit to their first game."
We will continue to keep you updated on Tristan Davis, right up through signing day 2004.
