Top QB Looking At Game Day Atmosphere

Jordan Steffy, one of the nation's top quarterbacks, has coaches all over the country battling for his services. Are the Tigers still in the mix for the dual-threat superstar? CUTigers.com caught up with Steffy, and we've got the latest on where the Tigers stand for the prize recruit.

As a junior Steffy threw for 2,178 yards and 21 touchdowns while completing 64% of his passes. The speedster also ran for 12 touchdowns. The 6-1, 194 pound quarterback has offers from over 36 of the nations best programs. "I'm not sure if I have any new offers. I don't read the mail much anymore. All of the schools I am interested in have offered."

Steffy was not ready to go on record with a leader, but he did provide his top 5. "Maryland, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, Clemson and Syracuse," stated Steffy.

Steffy plans to make his decision over the next two months. "I'm trying to decide as soon as possible. I have a press conference scheduled for October 20 to announce my decision."

The Lancaster, Pennsylvania superstar plans to visit his favorites this fall to see the game day atmosphere. "I'm trying to go on a couple of official visits to see what it's like on game day. They all have so many positives and no negatives."

Steffy may visit Clemson for the August 30 showdown with the Georgia Bulldogs. "I was thinking about that one, but I'm not sure if I can make it down or not. I may catch a 10:30 flight and go down after my game on Friday night."

The strengths are numerous for the talented athlete. "I would say my knowledge of the game and my speed are my biggest strengths. I have run a 4.47 forty."

Distance will not be a factor for Steffy or his parents. "They really don't care. My mom is really open to things. She will support whatever I want."

Steffy vacationed in the Palmetto state frequently when he was younger. "We use to go on vacation at Heritage USA. We almost moved down to that area before I started high school."
