WR Mike McIntosh
6-2, 182, 4.40
First Coast High School
The 6-2, 185 pound receiver still has Clemson and Auburn as his favorites heading into the season. McIntosh plans to take official visits to both of his leaders as well as LSU, Michigan and Miami later this fall. "I want to see what the gameday atmosphere is like. I haven't setup any of the visits yet."
Although McIntosh is being recruited as a receiver, he also played some quarterback last season for First Coast High School. "I played some quarterback last year. One of our quarterbacks left so I played quarterback at the end of the season. We have a couple of plays setup for me this season. No passing plays. Some option and draw plays."
The talented athlete is ready for his senior season, and he has high expectations for his team. "Practice is going good. We just got pads Friday. Today we had a scrimmage so we can get some contact. Our first game is next Saturday. I'm excited about this season. Our team is looking good. We have a balanced offense. Our quarterback is doing good, very good."
The Jacksonville superstar still plans to take his visits before making a decision. "I plan on taking my visits this fall. Then I will make my decision." One of those visits will not be August 30th. "I'm not going to make it up for the Clemson game with Georgia. I'll be watching it on TV though."
We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding receiver from Florida, right up through signing day 2004.
