Cory Groover Update

Clemson verbal commitment Cory Groover continues to dominate the competetion as his Hannah-Pamplico Red Raiders have bolted out to a 4-0 start. We've got the latest on this intimidating 'backer from South Carolina's Pee Dee region.

"Through 4 games this year, Cory Groover is averaging 12 tackles a game defensively, " says Hannah-Pamplico coach Stan Drawdy. He also has 3 sacks and 4 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery.

Offensively, Cory has been, "running wild." He has 575 yards rushing and has scored 9 TDs and one 2-point conversion while averaging close to 7 yards per attempt. In other words he's been an absolute machine on the football field.

In terms of qualifying, Groover has been working hard to get his grades in order, and he's currently enrolled in all the courses he'll need to qualify.

In terms of toughness, this guy might be the toughest player in the state of South Carolina. The opening game of the season, a game in which Cory was questionable for (injury), he moved over to fullback and played the entire game. Groover finished 46 yards on 11 carries and delivered several bone-crushing blocks to help pave the way for another Red Raider win.
