Wednesday Evening Report and Post-Practice Interview with Dabo Swinney

Dabo gave us the latest update on the Clemson Football team and addressed Tajh Boyd's complimentary remarks about him.

There were no new injuries as of Wednesday evening. Boulware is still flying around, trying to convince the coaches he can play, but they still intend to hold him on Saturday. It sounds like Bryant probably won't play until the Louisville game just to be on the safe side. Dabo said the defensive line is playing well, and Bryant will probably need some practice time before jumping into the GT game. They are still going to wait until the last possible moment to decide whether to redshirt Xavier Kelly because they really want to be able to hold him this season if they can. With Renfrow out, Dabo told me that Carson King will be the backup punter should they need him.

Dabo said he likes the focus he has seen from the team, and the receivers haven't had any drops at practice. I asked Dabo if they would try to get Powell a punt return on Saturday, and he said they would eventually work Powell into the mix, but for now it would most likely just be Ray-Ray and Artavis. I think we will, however, see Tavien Feaster on a kickoff or two.
