Clemson Ranked #3 in Both the AP and Coaches Polls

After a record blowout 56-7 win over arch-rival South Carolina, Clemson moved up to #3 in both of Sunday's polls and could potentially be #2 in Tuesday's College Football Playoff Rankings.

Michigan dropped from the #3 spot after losing in overtime at Ohio State. The Buckeyes have struggled in consecutive weeks against Michigan State and Michigan, so it will be interesting to see if the CFP Selection Committee moves Clemson up to #2 on Tuesday night after blowout wins in the last two weeks. Even if the CFP Rankings mimic the polls, Ohio State will not be playing for a Big Ten Championship, so the Tigers could move up to #2 with a win in the ACC Championship Game. Either way, it looks like Clemson and Ohio State will play in the Arizona Semifinal if the Tigers beat Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship Game next week. Ohio State played there last year in a Fiesta Bowl blowout of Notre Dame, and Clemson, of course, lost there in the National Championship Game. The Tigers beat Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes in a thrilling Orange Bowl following the 2013 season, and Ohio State won the National Championship the following year. Both of Sunday's polls are below.
