Swinney In Constant Contact with Croley

CUTigers.com spoke with Clemson commitment Brandon Croley to see how his senior season is going, and to find out his impression of the battle between the Tigers and the Bulldogs. The 6-0, 180 pound defensive back watched some of the game Saturday, and he was surprised at the outcome. "I did watch some of the game. It was shocking to see they lost and the way they lost. I'm sure once they go in the film room that it will all change. They will be on a winning streak soon."

Did the Tigers' performance have any impact on his commitment? "No not really. My team plays like that sometimes as well. We lose to teams that we shouldn't lose to also. That doesn't mean we aren't a good team. I also look at it as a good chance for early playing time."

The Jacksonville prospect continues to work teammate Mike McIntosh to see if he can get the superstar receiver to join him as a Clemson Tiger next season. "He actually called earlier today. He went to the Auburn game and he was shocked that they couldn't score any points either. I'm still working him hard. I'm not sure where he is leaning I just know it's Clemson and Auburn. If he knows where he's going he hasn't told me yet."

"Coach Swinney called on Monday. He asked about my game. He wanted to know how practice was going for me. I asked him what the problem was Saturday. He says they were inside the forty like 6 times and inside the thirty like 4 times. They just couldn't score. He said they had too many turnovers."

The prize recruit played well last Friday as his team picked up another win. "We won 20 to 14. I had a couple of tackles and a punt return for about 30 yards."

We will continue to keep you updated on this outstanding defensive back from Florida, right up through signing day 2004.
